Liane is an intuitive artist who enjoys creating an experience for the viewer within her artwork. She achieves this through many layers within her work starting with sweeps of colour from her surroundings, marks and patterns that she observes. These become the background for the work and this then dictates the subject that Liane then adds to the piece. Liane’s work is heavily influenced by her surroundings, whether it be her garden, a new vase or object she has purchased or even better, an exotic location she is visiting on her travels.
